Can you think of anything better than a soft, warm and creamy rice krispie treat? Hardly, I want one right now! With this recipe you’ll achieve ooey-gooey marshmallow nirvana in your mouth, without an oven.

Flavorless krispie treats no-more. The secret weapons to elevate you from basic to gourmet? Marshmallow cream with mini marshmallows… and cannabis too!

Ingredients

  • 2 bags of mini marshmallows, divided (10oz or ~12 cups)

  • 10 Tbsp. butter

  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

  • 1.5 tsp. salt

  • 1.5 Tbsp. Chef Roilty’s infused olive oil

  • 1 box of Rice Krispies or favorite cereal (12oz or ~12.5 cups)

  • 2 containers of marshmallow cream (7oz or ~4.5 cups)

9x13 inch Baking Pan – commercial grade and nonstick.

Parchment paper – great to always have at hand for great results and easy cleanup.

Large saucepan - multipurpose must-have in the kitchen.

Large mixing bowl - versatile and large enough for any task.

How to Prepare Ooey Gooey Rice Krispie Treats

Guaranteed to be the best you’ve ever had. Here’s your ticket to rice krispie flavor town, ready in just 20 minutes.


Set yourself up for success:

  1. Line a 9x13 baking pan with parchment paper and grease generously, set aside.

  2. Put your rice krispies (or cereal of your choice) in a large mixing bowl.

  3. Separate 3 cups of mini marshmallows and put aside for later.


Let’s get down to it!

  1. Slowly melt your butter in a very large saucepan over LOW heat.

  2. Once butter is melted, add in 9 cups of mini marshmallows and coat them evenly.

  3. Keep stirring until butter and marshmallows are completely melted, then remove from heat.

  4. Mix in the salt, vanilla extract and the infused cannabis oil at this time.

  5. Pour your infused butter and marshmallow mixture over the Rice Krispies (cereal) and stir until completely coated.

  6. Mix in marshmallow cream. Once it’s well-incorporated, stir in the extra 3 cups of mini marshmallows.

  7. Pour everything into the 9x13 pan. Grease up your hands and spread the rice krispie mixture throughout the pan until you have a smooth surface.

Now just let everything set as it cools down, then slice and enjoy!

Cooking Tips From Chef Roilty

  • For this one I personally like to make a stronger oil to infuse with. I want a stronger infusion so I can just add a tablespoon and not change the recipe too much. I have made olive oils as strong as 1000mg per tablespoon for some of my recipes.

  • Use whatever cereals you want, combine em! have fun!

  • Feeling decorative? Add sprinkles on top for a thematic touch!

  • Krispie treats will cool down on your counter in just about 30 minutes. Be patient, they’ll keep their shape better.

  • It will be difficult to keep from devouring these treats, but you may have more restraint than we do! They are best served the same day but will do just fine covered at room temperature for up to 1 week.
